What we collect: almost nothing.
This is a static site. There is no account system, no client-side analytics script and no cookie set by us. The short version is below; the long version is the rest of the page.
Nothing client-side
No JavaScript analytics, no pixels, no fingerprinting, no third-party requests from the page. You can load the site with scripts disabled and everything that matters still works.
Server access logs
The host (Alibaba Cloud OSS) keeps ordinary access logs for every web server: IP address, requested path, timestamp, user agent and referrer. We use them for capacity planning, abuse prevention, and to state traffic numbers honestly instead of guessing. We do not build profiles from them and we do not sell them.
Your position
If you tap “use my position”, your browser asks you for permission and the coordinates are used only to compute altitudes on your own device. They are kept in your browser's local storage so the page remembers them; they are never transmitted to us.
Currently none
There is no advertising on this site today and no third-party embed of any kind.
If advertising is added
Ads would be served by an ad network, most likely Google AdSense, which uses cookies to select and measure ads. When that happens this page will say so before the ads go live, you will be able to read Google's own explanation of how it uses data, and the site will remain usable without accepting anything that is not strictly required.
Data sources
Launch data comes from Launch Library 2, orbital elements from Celestrak, and the astronomy is computed on your device with the open-source astronomy-engine library. None of them receive anything about you.
Retention, rights and contact
Access logs are retained by the hosting provider according to its own retention settings, which we do not control beyond choosing the provider. We do not maintain a separate copy.
Because we hold no account data, there is normally nothing to export or delete. If you believe a log entry needs to be removed, or you have any other privacy question, write to moestone@163.com and we will answer.
